We are getting close to the launch of Radeon HD 5800 series, world’s first DirectX 11 graphics cards. Radeon HD 5870 and 5850 will lure users worldwide, but only those with money to spare will be able to enjoy the new graphics circuits. The DirectX 11 support will not be available until Windows 7 and the update of Windows Vista, both to be announced on October 22nd. New information suggests that Radeon HD 5700 will arrive before that.

AMD Radeon HD 5770 and Radeon HD 5750 will be based on the Juniper GPU and sport 800 stream processors with 1GB GDDR5 memory over 128-bit memory bus.

Performance should be very good for the $150-200 price segment and the source also reveal the system requirements. AMD recommends 450W power supply with the Radeon HD 5700 series, while a dual graphics card system “require” 600W and two 6-pin connectors.

You should also have at least 1GB RAM, which we SINCERELY hope that everyone in their right minds have, especially those about to acquire a brand new DirectX 11 graphics card.
