AMD will launch the new mid-range card Radeon HD 6790 tomorrow sporting the Barts LE GPU that will land at a price just north of $110. We have already revealed the detailed specifications and now close to the launch a series of retail models have appeared, and new reports on the overclocking.
Some information that appeared last week said Radeon HD 6790 will be really good for overclocking and more or less all cards will reach 1 GHz on the GPU, which is big increase from the reference clock at 840 MHz. After we dug around for more on the overclocking potential it turns out that Radeon HD 6790 will offer similar overclocking results as Radeon HD 6800, where we reached over 1 GHz on several cards tested last year.

The overclocking potential is affected by luck, skill and the manufacturer. AMD has let the partners design its own circuit boards and coolers, which is quite clear from the pictures that are starting to circulate.
Some models comes with a more powerful power supply and dual 6-pin connectors while other settles for a single 6-pin connector for power, which is reflected in the choice of cooler. Below you will find a variety of pictures of the models to expect in stores in the coming days.
