The first graphics cards with DirectX 11 support are here and first out is AMD with the new flagship ATI Radeon HD 5870. The Cypress core is the heart of AMD’s first Radeon HD 5000 cards, and it’s a beast with 2.15 billion transistors and enormous calculation power. We have taken a dive into AMD’s new graphics circuit architecture where we walk you through everything from the DirectX 11 support to AMD’s new Eyefinity technology. We also have a load of benchmarks that shows what Radeon HD 5870 can do.
Cypress will be AMD’s most powerful GPU of the Evergreen family and it has announced two different models, ATI Radeon HD 5870 and Radeon HD 5850.
