RIAA has decided to appeal the decision by judge West in the case of Capitol Records vs. Debbie Foster. RIAA lost the case and was forced to pay Foster’s attorney’s fees. RIAA points to, what it considers to be, a series of flaws and that it is still working hard on making a person that has signed a contract with an ISP is also the one responsible for the internet connection. This is something RIAA has based many of its cases on and would cost them dearly if the appeal was determined to without base. This is namely how the RIAA have been working with most cases, simply prosecute the person whose name is on the contract and not the one that is actually doing the filesharing.
