RIAA has managed to make quite a few mistakes so far and they just seem to become more and more. The last, but certainly not the least, is Elektra vs. Wilke. It all ended rather abruptly when Wilke told the court that he first of all isn’t “Paule Wilke”, which is the person the RIAA had accused, and that he had never had the songs RIAA had downloaded in his possesion and the songs they had found on his computer he had the actual discs of. Also, he has never used any applications to spread any of RIAA’s property. At this time RIAA dropped the charges. Slashdot has a good summarize of RIAA’s latest screwup, but also a long discussion worth a glimpse.
