RunCore has developed a new ExpressCard for notebooks that offer all kinds of goodies. RunCore USB 3.0 Express SSD is, as the name reveals, both an SSD and USB 3.0 ports packwd into a very small format, which should make it an interesting option for the constant traveller.

RunCore has managed to squeeze in 64GB of storage and through a ExpressCard/34 port you can connect the unit to almost any notebooks to expand the storage. To make use of the unit’s SSD storage and add some extra functionality to the host RunCore has decided to integrate two USB 3.0 ports for swift transfers of files.

RunCore claims its ExpressCard SSD is capable of read speeds up to 110MB/s and write speeds up to 80MB/s, but this affects the bandwidth to the two USB 3.0 ports. The price is so far unknown.
