X-bit labs has word on the ATI RV360 specs which they claim will be in mass production in september. As you might know, the RV360 is not a brand new product but rather a tweak of the RV350 (Radeon 9600), aimed at the mass market, so don’t expect a replacement for your 9800 just yet. The RV360 will come in three shapes, code named Thunderhead, Thunder Storm and Rainbow:

“The Thunderhead will have 128MB of 128-bit DDR SDRAM memory in BGA form-factor clocked at 700MHz or higher. As expected, the RV360 architecture is in generally similar to that of the RV350 aka RADEON 9600-series. Besides some possible tweaks, we should expect the core-clock to increase towards 450MHz or more. The graphics card should score some 3800 scores in 3DMark03.”

Sounds like a sweet deal if they can keep the prices on par with the current 9600 series. Read more here.
