Samsung is one of the biggest actors on the PC- and electronics market. It has of course worked hard to get there, but apparently it hasn’t been with fair methods all the way. Samsung has namely admitted to have participated in a cartel between April 1999 and June 2002 to make sure that the price of DRAM-chips was kept a t a certain level. Exactly how much money Samsung and its allies has made from this is uncertain, but we do know that it will cost them dearly to have admitted. Samsung will namely have to pay $300 million which is the second biggest fine in a antitrust case in the US.
