Samsung NP700G7C will be one of the first notebooks sporting Intel’s fresh Ivy Bridge architecture. Samsung has actually spilled the details through an early product listing that also speaks of a near launch of Nvidia’s Kepler architecture, more precise GeForce GTX 675M.
Samsung had multiple notebooks to show at CES 2012 and we had it confirmed that multiple models were coming sporting Intel’s new Ivy Bridge architecture. Samsung has now accidentally revealed the specifications for one of its coming machines, dubbed NP700G7C, that will get both a quad-core Core i7-3610M processor and not yet launched graphic circuit from Nvidia.
The Ivy Bridge processor will be made with 22nm technology and the model listed here will operate at 2.3 GHz and sport 6MB L3 cache. As a member of the Core i7 family it will get four cores and HyperThreading.
Samsung has designed the coming notebook for gamers and besides mighty 16GB RAM it has invested int he graphics with NP700G7C. Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 675M gets the honor of filling the 17″ 1080p screen with pixels and with 2GB GDDR5 graphics memory and Nvidia’s new Kepler architecture it should result in quite decent 3D performance.
Samsung also promises quick boots with 8GB integrated flash memory where the technology ExpressCache makes for a hybrid-like solution for the otherwise bundled harddrives. Samsung has stuffed in a durable battery that will keep its capacity for several years.
Intel will launch the Ivy Bridge architecture on April 8th and we can count on seeing Nvidia’s Kepler architecture around the same time, but hopefully even before that.
