Samsung SH-B022 will be one of the first Blu-ray burners for computers and now another a test of the unit has been published. We have earlier reported about a German site that did a short preview of Samsung’s coming BD burner, but now a English site known as RegHardware has published a longer review. It had a limited amount of time to play around with the burner and only had access to one BD-RE disc (rewriteable Blu-ray media) but the results are equivalent to the ones we’ve seen earlier. Burning a 25GB BD disc expected to take about one hour at 2x speed. An eternity compared to burning an entire DVD disc, even you can store considerably more during this time.
Then that the price of the writeable discs is expected to be about $20 and the price of the burner is yet to be announced it looks like it is going to be expensive to keep up with the modern HD times.
