Samsung is continuously improving its SSD products and has now announced the mass production of a new 64GB model, which uses the SATA II interface. The new drive sports read speed of 100MB/s and write speed up to 80MB/s. The SATA II model is up to 60% faster than the equivalent SATA I drives. The new 64GB SSD will start shipping in a few weeks and “both” Dell and Alienware are expected to use the new drive with its notebooks.
