Samsung is one of the Blu-ray camp’s allies but as the outcome is still very uncertain it has now announced that it will take a moment to think about the possibilities of a dual-format player. Simply a player sporting both HD DVD and Blu-ray. This is something we’ve heard rumors about before and according to Samsung the dual-format player is already under development. It says it has no plans for a HD DVD player but only a universal model supporting both formats. Would it decide to launch a player for both formats we should be able to expect it at the end of the year or at the beginning of the next. At what cost is still uncertain, but most likely this player will not come cheap.
