System builder Shuttle has unveiled two new mini-computers based on Sandy Bridge. Shuttle XPC SH67H3 and SH67H7 builds on the classic cube design accustomed to Shuttle’s mini computers and support the most powerful Core i7 processors.

Shuttle’s new mini compyters support up to 16GB RAM with four DDR3 memory slots and houses one PCIe x16 graphics card and an additional PCIe x1 expansion card. With the Intel H67 chipset there is support for Intel’s integrated GPUs and the systems are equipped with HDMI and DVI outputs. other functions include four USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports and two combined eSATA/USB ports. Gigabit LAN and 300 watt 80 Plus power supply complete the packages.

“With one machine available in two different designs, consumers are able to choose their preferred option. The H3 design is more traditional and all connectors are directly available. The H7 on the other hand has a more elegant look and all connectors are elegantly hidden from view behind drive doors,”

The storage bit is a sensitive area with Sandy Bridge where it supports two 3.5″ units and an external 5.25″ unit. Two SATA 6.0 Gbps ports are backed up by dual SATA 3.0 Gbps ports. How it solved this with Intel’s acknowledged problems with SATA 3.0 we don’t know, but either it has used an external controller or won’t ship any systems until the fixed chips arrives.
