Sapphire recently announced its water cooled Radeon X1900 XTX and even if this far from the first water cooled card we’ve seen, not even the first that comes with a water cooling installed from factory it is a very tempting thought to use with the power consuming X1900 XTX circuit. Now the first review of Sapphire’s Blizzard model has arrived and its Anandtech that has tested the card and compared it to a regular X1900 XTX card from Connect3D. Sapphire’s water cooling system is a bit unorthodox, with its up and downs. The performance seems to be a bit half and half, but with higher default frequencies and less noise there are some positive aspects of Sapphire’s Blizzard cooling.

The price isn’t much higher than that of the air cooled X1900 XTX cards available today either. Those who are looking for a quiet and unique video card with performance potential Sapphire’s card might be a good choice.
