Sapphire is the latest manufacturer to launch a slim multimedia motherboard as it has now presented a new model of its Pure Innovation series. The new motherboard is called Pure Innovation HDMI PI-AM2RS690MHD and is for AMD’s Socket AM2 platform. The board has the same white color theme as all boards of the Innovation series, which really makes the board stand out from the crowd. Not surprisingly, the chipset used is AMD 690G and as with most motherboards based on this chipset, this one is of a MicroATX format. The motherboard has been equipped with four DDR2-800 slots, 8 channel HD audio and an HDMI- out, to mention a few things, and they all indicate what market Sapphire is aiming for.
