Sapphire has come to the conclusion that there may still be a few AGP users out there needing a decent graphics card upgrade. Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP has namely been launched and it’s actually clocked higher than its PCI Express siblings. The core runs at 700 MHz and the memory at 846 MHz. It has a single slot cooler, dual DVI outputs, TV output and require power from an 8-pin PCIe power connector as AGP is far from capable of supplying the power it needs. The card is expected to cost around €200 when it reaches stores.
Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP sports all of the regular features the PCIe version also has, which means DirectX 10.1, UVD, AVIVO, HDCP, and so forth.
