Sapphire reveals Radeon HD 2000 AGP cards

0

Just as expected, the first proofs of AGP graphics cards based on AMD’s new R600 architecture have arrived. Sapphire is the first manufacturer to leak information about its R600-based AGP cards, which are based on the mid-range and low-end circuits RV610 and RV630. Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT, HD 2600 Pro and HD 2400 Pro are the names of the cards that, except from their AGP interface, seem to be identical to the PCIe siblings, certainly good news for those who are still forced to use the old AGP interface. It’s not certain when the new AGP cards will appear, but most likely in July when the PCI Express versions of Radeon HD 2600 and Radeon HD 2400 arrives.
