Sapphire ships Radeon X1600 Crossfire

Sapphire is one of ATI’s closest partners and its not surprising that it is one of the first to announce that it is shipping ATI’s X1600 series with Crossfire support. The Radeon X1600 series is now on the way to stores and as most of you know ATI has in the end chosen to skip the demand for Master cards for X1600 Crossfire configurations, which means that all X1600 cards can be used in pairs. Sapphire has announced that it ships both Sapphire Radeon X1600 XT and X1600 Pro. The difference between the two cards are the frequencies at GPU and memory. X1600 XT is clocked at 590MHz/1380MHz, while X1600 Pro has to suffice with 500MHz/800MHz. We think it is going to be very exciting to see how the X1600 series performs in Crossfire setups now that ATI has chosen to skip the Master cards for this series.
