SATA (Serial ATA) is as many of you know the sequel to the IDE-interface (PATA) for harddrives and optical units. We have during the last year seeen more and more SATA-based harddrives, but strictly 3.5″ models. Now it seems that the mobile version at 2.5″ is going to get SATA support. Fujitsu has namely announced that it has started to massproduce its new SATA-based 2.5″-harddrive MHT2080BH (80GB). SATA is spreading and right now we are waiting for more optical untis with this new and more convenient interface.
