Without doubt, Serial ATA is the harddrive standard of the future, but what do you really need to convert to SATA? The answer to that question isn’t always the easiest one to find, it depends on where you want to begin. The best would of course be to begin with harddrives, but there are ATA -> SATA converters for those simply wanting thinner cables.
