Scythe Mugen 2 is pretty big. Not just physically, but also weighs quite a lot with its copper base and aluminum heatsink. The game weight is 870g on paper, but it’s a real lightweight compared to the Mugen 2 Copper. The new model is made purely from copper and this has pushed the weight through the roof, 1.8kg! This puts Mugen 2 Copper right up there next to Thermalright True Copper.
We know for a fact that Scythe Mugen 2 is an efficient cooler and if you just manage to install it without dropping it right through the motherboard, case and table it should perform quite nicely.
There is no information on the price or availability of Scythe Mugen 2 Copper, but we’re guessing this is a limited edition that will cost more than a little.
