Scythe has released a new creation that may very well be the single largest air cooler that has ever been intended to be used in a consumer computer. The idea is not only to cool the processor, but also the VRM section, memory, northbridge and the graphics card.
Susanoo measures 210 x 210 x 160 mm and weighs 1.565 gram, so it’s not a small cooler we’re dealing with here. It comes with 12 heatpipes in 2 layers at the contact surface that reaches up to a bunch of heatsinks. Susanoo has four 100 mm Scythe Slip Stream fans operating between 500 and 2000 RPM at noise levels up to 37.69 dBa.
There is already a tests of the cooler done by PcCI2iminal that also shows how to mount the motherboard on the cooler. Those of you who doesn’t have the patience to watch the whole video we can tell you that the cooler keeps an Intel Core i5 2500K at 4500 MHz with ease since it only reaches 54 degrees while running LinX.
Susanoo supports Intel LGA 775/1155/1156/1366 and AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+ and will cost 90€.
