Digital camera manufacturer Seitz has a number of really huge digital camera solutions in its assortment but none of them can match the new Seitz 6×17 Digital. The camera is a panorama camera which use a picture ratio of 6×17, thus the name, but what it is really impressive is the resolution. Or what can you say about 160Megapixel, per picture! In pixels this means 7500 x 21250 and each picture is almost 1GB. As expected it doesn’t use regular flash memory card but Seitz has developed a separate data storage system which use Gigabit Ethernet to transfer the picture to its storage.

The computer system is actually a Mac mini, most likely thanks to its minimalistic measurements. To control the camera you use a touch screen at 640×480 pixels. The touchscreen is of course located on the back but can be removed for wireless control. Seitz 6×17 Digital has also been blessed with a truly originial design and even if 2.6 kilo may sound as much for a digital camera it actually sounds little when you see the camera. Except from the resolution and mighty size, Seitz has given the camera a juicy price, the portabl model costs 28,900 euro ($36,800) while the studio version costs about 26,900 euro ($34,250).
