Semiconductor sales are moving up and now that Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has released its annual prognosis for semiconductors over the coming two years it estimates an annual increase of 33% in 2010. This through a total sale of semiconductors worth 300.5 billion dollar.
The exact increase from 2009 will reach 32.8 percent and the trend will continue through 2011 and 2012 with an increase in sales of 6% and 3.4%.
“We experienced record sales this year due to strong global demand across a broad range of end markets,” said SIA president Brian Toohey. “We expect more moderate growth through 2012 as the economy recovers and consumer confidence restores,”
With an increase in sales there is hopefully good fortune coming to semiconductor companies.
