Network attached storage is hardly news but going from regular NAS units or Home Servers the technology has spread to portable storage units. Moving storage media between computers within the the same network is a thing of the past. Sharkoon has presented a new harddrive dock that connects to the home network and beside the 3.5″ SATA slots there is also slots for memory cards and USB ports.
Sharkoon QuickPort Pro LAN can handle SD, SDHC, MMC and MS memory cards while at the same time it can connect directly to a computer through eSATA or USB. It costs around 50€.
