Sharp 904SH will according to the manufacturer be the first mobile phone with a VGA display, simply a display using the VGA resolution at 480x640px (640x480px horizontally), four times the resolution of most competing models. To match the high resolution display they’ve added a 3.2 Megapixel camera, a motion control sensor for 3D games and an identification feature relying on facial features, similar to a finger print. Sharp has launched the new model through Vodafone KK in Japan and for those who invest in a contract with the operator the phone will cost $210, which seems like a real catch.
Sharp 904SH will of course not be available in Europe or North America, but only in Japan. But this is still a nice hint of where the mobile phone market is heading. High resolution displays for better multimedia fuinctionality and new interedting features.
