If a company wishes to attract the consumer’s attention, it has to be seen and preferably have a few rather special products in the assortment. Roughly, this is true for most part of the market as of today, especially when talking about high-tech products that are to blend in in your home.
Televisions are one of those products that you don’t often want to hide somewhere, at least not if it’s real size is close to 40″.
Plasma and LCD televisions have become more and more popular lately, and despite being much less bulky than the old cathode based screens, the design doesn’t always fit in as one would like.
Sharp, a company with many products that fit nicely into many homes, have thought of this. As a solution it has released a rather exclusive series LCD TVs based on its flagship model: the Sharp AQUOS LC-37HV4E (37″).
The series includes six different models in three different materials; varnish, leather and wood. Each model has two choices of color to give even more options.

Besides the rather exclusive design, they’ve got some rather exclusive specifications too. A view angle of 170º, power saving technology and a lifetime of around 60,000 hours. Or rather 8 hours of watching TV, every day, for 20 years.

It might be extremely tempting to get one of these, but sadly enough, the wallet will probably stop you. The wooden model costs about €11,050, the leather model €11,500 and the varnished model 12,150 incl. VAT of 25 %.
