Shuttle has just launched a new SFF barebone of its XPC family and the new SD39P2 model is based on Intel’s 975X chipset. The barebone is in other words for Intel’s 775 platform and its Core 2 Duo/Quad processors. Despite the tiny format, 325x220x210mm, Shuttle has managed to include practically everything you might need. With its PCIe X16 slot the barebone also has support for the very latest graphics cards and if the graphics card isn’t blocking you, there is also a PCI slot for a second expansion card.

Shuttle has also made sure the motherboard inside of SD39P2 will be ready for Windows Vista and 64-bit, where the RAM is very important. SD39P2 supports no less than 8GB DDR2 memory through its four memory banks. The barebone has been equipped with five fans, but thanks to the automatic fan control the system will be very quiet according to Shuttle. The price will be €419.00 (without VAT). SD39P2 is bound to appear soon and more information about Shuttle’s latest creation can be found and its website.
