SiS has very good future prospects for their chipsets and for Q4 2005 they are expecting to see a increase in sales of a whole 32% compared to Q3. That would mean that SiS ships 7 million chipsets, compared to 5.4 million. The reason for SiS heavy third quarter should be a lack of components, something that has been solved now during October. If this goes on, SiS should be able to “overtake” nVidia who shipped 5.4 million chipsets during Q3 this year. Topping the list is of course Intel, shipping 41 million chipsets during the same quarter, and VIA holds the honoring second place with 9.6 million units shipped.
