SiS is one of the more experienced chipset manufacturers on the market and even if it usually focuses on the lower end segment it is usually fast to adopt new trends and platforms. That is just what it has done with AMD’s Socket AM2 platform now that SiS has launched two new chipsets supporting the new AM2 processors and DDR2-SDRAM. SiS756 and SiS761GX are the names of the manufacturers latest creations and the first is then the flagship of SiS setup while 761GX use an integrated Mirage 1 graphics circuits and is intended for less advanced systems. SiS now has a number of chipsets ready for the Socket AM2 platform, two for the stationary market and four for the mobile equivalent.
