Slackware 11 was recently released in a new beta format and according to Patrick Volkerding, the big man behind the distribution, this version could very well be considered the first release candidate before the actual launch of Slackware 11. The change log indicates that a lot has been updated with the new version, among others we see X.Org 6.9.0 and KDE 3.5.4 is used now and it has also chosen to go from Mozilla to SeaMonkey. Distrowatch tells us that if you want to get your hands on this new version you have to go via a Norwegian Slackware ftp or this site with mirrors. He or she who feels urged to test the new build shouldn’t hesitate to share his experiences.
