With SMPC2010 full under way to reach new top results some of our contestants in GPU Classic have created a mini-contest in the Swedish forum. The goal is to find the highest possible GPU overclock, or a so called “suicide shot” since the card are often on or above what they can do before giving up.
So far a couple of contributions has been made to this unofficial competition and the results are veru promising. In the lead we have Oscar” CrOOs” Cruuse that pushed his poor GeForce 8400 GS from 450 MHz GPU to 1,367 MHz, an increase of 204%, which has to be some sort of record even if it is hard to find any real references to compare.
How the card survive this torture remains to be seen, but with time to kill between Championship overclocks it is a fun past time.
