Sony has started to consider lowering the price of Playstation 3 to improve the negative figures presented by SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment). Sony has previously cut the price of the console in Japan and if we’re unlucky Japan is the target for the next price cut as well. It’s worth mentioning that Sony has had higher than expected costs for advertising and shipping and it is counting on making ends meet the next fiscal year (April 2007-March 2008) by adjusting prices. Sony is losing money, quite a lot even, with each sold console and SCEA has previously stated that price cuts is not going to happen anytime the two upcoming years, but if Sony gets to decide it may very well happen.
