Sony cuts PS2 prices to interrupt Xbox 360

As you know by now Microsoft will launch Xbox 360 right before the christmas shopping begins and Sony still has a few months to go with PlayStation 3. But it will most likely make everything it can to make Microsoft’s launch as difficult as it possibly can. Among others it seems it will cut prices with 33% of the PlayStation 2 just before Christmas, from $149 to $100 for the slim version. But we are also expecting some hot new game titles just around the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox 360. Whether this will affect the launch or not remains to see, but as a consumer I’m as happy as I possibly can be.
