We will be seeing a lot of AMD’s new mobile plattform Brazos during CES and one of the companies that has stepped up is Sony. The company has presented a slim 11.6″ VAIO notebooks with a dual-core AMD E-350 APU that looked like a real light-weight with plenty of features.
Sony equipped its VAIO with 4GB RAM, 500GB harddrive and Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Except from two 1.6 GHz Bobcat CPU cores AMD E-350 has a built-in Radeon HD 6310 graphics that can handle up to 1080p video and other graphically intense applications.
Unfortunately it seems Sony has slimmed down the notebook almost too much with a weak battery. The battery time was specified to 3 hours and hopefully this is not something we can blame on AMD’s new Brazos platform.
Price and availability were not revealed.
