Sony has shipped 1 million consoles to the USA, sold far less

A while back we reported about how people who had been queuing for hours outside stores or purchased a Playstation 3 console on eBay at overprices had regret their purchases and sold them, sometimes even swapping for a Wii. In certain cases even without any money in between. New reports now suggests that Playstation 3 is having a hard time even leaving the store shelves. Many thought that Nintendo would have a lot to gain from the poor supply of Playstation 3 but instead it’s Wii that is selling out, while Playstation 3 is being left behind all alone on the shelf. The reason for this is quite obvious and is all about the lack of (good/appealing) games. We can certainly understand that this makes the situation extra sour for those who have prebooked a console, but will have to wait until Spring to get a hold of one.
