Sony has sold 10 million PSPs

Sony PSP is a big success for Sony and the portable console has received a lot of good ciriticism not only for the impressive graphics but also its multimedia features. Anyway, Sony has now shipped over 10 million PSP-consoles since the launch. This is the fastest sale of a PlayStation-console ever. Three million units has been sold in Japan/Asia, 4.47 million in USA and 2.53 million in Europe. Interestingly they’ve only sold 19.6 million games for PSP while they’ve also sold 15 million UMD-movies. Sony PSP is without a doubt more than just a game console and the question is if this is the future for all portable consoles.
