PlayStation has, just like Xbox, a big attraction with Internet service, also known as Home. Even if the previous generation of PlayStation didn’t have anything similar you still had possibilities of communicating and one of them where through EyeToy which was a camera that could also be used for games. PlayStation Eye that has now been announced is a sequel that brings the same possibilities as EyeToy, which includes motion detection and a microphone. The microphone has been equipped with noise-canceling technology and speech recognition. The camera can perform a number of pictures alterations and recording in slow-motion and time-lapse while applying visual effects.
PlayStation Eye will be launched in Europe this summer together with the EyeCreate software. Any price has been announced. Technical specifications and more details about the software can be found in SCEE’s press release.
