PS3 has caused quite a lot of disccussions around the web and lately the high manufacturingcosts have been the hot topic. Sony has so far been rather cocky and said that as a consumer you should perhaps start saving your money now already, since PS3 will cost a bit more than previous versions have. Then information that Sony would make a major loss the first year arrived and now it seems it has realized that it has gone for a bit too much. Sony has namely announced that it will cut the router-function that with its three Gigabit Ethernet ports would make PS3 the multimediahub of your home. This would’ve cost to much to justify and was simply stricken from the specifications.
