Sony has now updated the specifications of its VAIO G series and the big news is all about the new SSD option. Those who want to upgrade the regular 40GB harddrive to a 32GB SSD unit can now do so. The upgrade offers a couple of other nice advantages; like lower weight and 30 minutes longer battery time. VAIO G is a really slim laptop using a 12” XGA display and is equipped with Intel’s power-efficient processors of the ULV Core Solo or Celeron M series. Equipping such a portable laptop with an SSD device sounds like a very smart move, even through it will set you back an additional $545.
