Sony VAIO TX3 is the sequel to Sony’s very popular ultra-portable series VAIO TX2. These are extremely slim computers which does not compromise the performance that much but are above all very handy to carry along and pleasant to have around while travelling. The TX2 serie uses Intel’s ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) Pentium-M processors, but the TX3 series has instead adopted Intel’s new Core Solo processor at 1.06GHz and 1.2GHz and also the 1.06GHz Celeron-M processor. VAIO TX3 doesn’t weigh much more than 1kg (1.27kg) and us a tiny LCD display at 11.1″ with LED background lighting.
VAIO TX3 sports up to 1.5GB of RAM and 80GB hardrive. Other than that there is no real lack of features as it can proudly show off everything from a DVD burner and USB/Firewire ports to support for wireless networking and Bluetooth.
With a Core Solo processor and the standard battery VAIO TX3 will offer a battery time at a whopping 10 hours, which will attract a customer or two. VAIO TX3 seems to be a really nice slim computer for those who are looking for an ultra-portable with a very good battery time. The prices on the other hand are not as appealing as they start at about 2000 dollar.
