Sony has during Leipzig Games Convention said that it will have 27 games playable at Tokyo Game Show, which happens at 22-24 September. Earlier Gamespot have reported that Playstation 3 hasn’t entered production stages yet and that Sony will only have 2 million consoles ready at the end of the year, which then makes a shortage inevitable. Sony will not do as Microsoft did and use a 90 day window for launch titles, which felt like a lot of talk and a lot less action. Sony seems to have gained some momentum now and how many of these that will be launch titles remains to be seen, but it seems there will be more than a few games available at launch and more coming right afterwards.
