Sparkle has announced its latest graphics card innovation. Sparkle Calibre P888+ is based on NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800GT, but comes with a couple of changes. First of all, Sparkle has equipped the card with its second generation GPD2 daughter card, which can be programmed to display useful information. The card is also factory overclocked. It sports 512MB GDDR3 memory running at 2000MHz, 675MHz core clock and 112 shader processors working at 1728Mhz. This is possible thanks to the new cooler, which is a lot beefier than the stock cooler.
The cooler uses heatpipes and two 80mm fans to keep the card cool at all times. It looks quite massive, but this also means that the card occupies two slots now. It also has an iron bar at the top side of the graphics card to make sure the weight of the cooler, or sudden movement won’t break the card.
As mentioned above, the card comes with Sparkle’s second generation GPD2 daughter card. This daughter card has a backlit LCD that shows temperatures, voltages and fan speeds of the card in real-time, or just a Sparkle logo.
