The epithet gaming mouse is hardly new and it has grown to become a huge market ever since gaming has continued to grow, especially as larger competitions have become more and more common. When a company release a mouse optimized for gaming there are usually a number of features you can count on; high resolution sensor, programmable buttons, adjustable weight and Teflon feet. Most mice have about 3-7 buttons spread around the mouse and even this is enough for most FPS games, the target games for most gaming mice, they are nowhere near enough for the MMO gamers.

Massively Multiplayer Online, or MMO games, is one of the larger gaming markets today and the major differences between MMOs and first person shooters is that MMOs usually have a lot more functions and properties, thus you need a lot more keys to keep track of everything.

For obvious reasons, MMOs are often linked  to Blizzard’s successful World of Warcraft MMORPG and it comes as no surprise that it was Blizzard that gaming accessory manufacturer SteelSeries turned to when they wanted to design a MMO gaming mouse. The result is a mouse simply called World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse. The mouse will be launched the same day as Blizzard releases the expansion for WoW, Wrath of the Lich King (November 13th). It comes with no less than 15 programmable buttons and support for macros with up to 160 signs and may very well be the optimal mouse for WoW gamers.

SteelSeries has not released any detailed information on the sensor or such, but we hope that it will release a solid product that will help WoW gamers go to the next level, especially as the price is €89, there is little room for flaws.
