SuperTalent is the next memory manufacturer to enter the Solid State Drive market. Now that is has launched its new SATA SSDs they’ve set the bar high with an extensive range of models of various formats and storage capacities. SuperTalent will offer SSDs at three different sizes, 1.8″, 2.5″ and 3.5″. The storage capacity ranges from 16GB up to 128GB and it shows that it is trying to offer something for everyone. As expected the models are foremost for the OEM market and the new models are suppose to become available in April, 2007.
We are still waiting for more retail models, but we can’t deny that manufacturers are starting to prepare themselves for the new generation of harddrives. It still seems though as we are a few years away before we will actually see them as something fairly common.
