Taiwan is the motherland for most computer and component manufacturers and the IT presence is of course a reflection of that. Taiwan has because of this a hefty Internet bandwidth and now the company Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC) ha published figures for the countries direct Internet bandwidth between 18 different countries. The total bandwidth was 147.725 Gbps at the end of September, which is an increase of 18.70% since the last quarter. This is a mighty impressive figure and the biggest share of the bandwidth was between Taiwan and the USA; 64.229Gbps. We would like to see some comparing figures for what other countries manages to do though.
