TDK ships mass produced discs for testing

Blu-ray seems to have gained an almost inapproachable advantage on HD DVD by now. TDK has now started to send out testing units of discs made in its factory in Japan, whch are identical to the discs that would be mass produced there, I.e. the same that we the consumers would finally hold in our hands. The four types of discs are both one time and rewritable versionsof both single, 25GB, and dual layer discs, 50GB. Both types will be able to handle up to 2x speed(72Mb/s or 9 MB/s). There is no date however for when a mass production could start.
