More and more PMPs are surfacing and the latest creation comes from a relatively unknown manufacturer; Teclast. Teclast is namely about to launch a new series of portable media players called Teclast T39 and the focus is, unlike the Cowon Q5, more on mobility than capacity. Teclast T39 uses a 2.6″ thouchscreen display with 262,000 colors and the perhaps most interesting piece of the new series is its storage capacity, because despite the use of flash, Teclast has managed to fit 16GB into the small player; quite a lot for such a small player.
Unfortunately, and as expected, there is only information about when Teclast T39 will arrive in Asia and we will have to wait and see if it will find its way west. This should be the start of a wave of 16GB flash players, instead of the 8GB, which is more or less standard among many of the most popular players. Below we’ve gathered some specifications and a picture of the Teclast T39.
