5min.com is the latest site to use videos to attract visitors. 5min.com is not about entertainment though, but education and knowledge. By letting users upload videos where they explain and show how to solve a problem or how something works 5min.com hopes to become the next big thing. To succeed they’ve developed a new flash player that they call “The Smart Player.” It let’s the users add text that explains what is happening in the video. The new player also offers the capability to watch the movie in slow-motion and even move forward frame by frame, to really make sure the viewers see what happens. There are already a number of movies explaining everything from how to change a tire to how to do a nice make-up, all to your own liking.
