The new generation of graphics card requires more power than ever and as usual new specifications for new power connectors have been suggested and this time it’s for a new 8-pin PCIe connector. This connector will simply offer more power than today’s 6-pin connectors. It turns out that the PCIe adapter that was suggested back in January has some teething problems. The connector is simply way too similar to the 8-pin connector used by modern motherboards, which could (will) lead to people connecting the cables wrong. The connector has now been updated, which makes it impossible to connect the cables wrong. A seemingly small update which can still prevent many unnecessary problems.
